American Flag Art Project
Well, his hands and feet were bigger than I had expected. Notice how crowded the "stars" are. Oh, well! It still turned out to be cute and festive!

32 Week Checkup
Woah, Nelly! These last two weeks have been productive. Apparently I have been able to produce 7 pounds of pregnancy weight. Nice. Thankfully I am pretty sure that it's water weight considering that I can no longer wear my wedding ring and my shoes are a little snug. Blood pressure at this week's appointment was a very normal 100/60. Praise God! We have been praying for it to remain low and so far, it has!

Vacation Time!
This year, we decided to limit our vacation to spending a few days with my grandparents in East Texas. Sunday was our 6th Anniversary and Father's Day, so we headed to East Texas Saturday afternoon after driving to Grapevine to meet up with a couple of my friends from high school.
We enjoyed seeing family, golfing, fishing, eating at a couple of the local restaurants, watching the beekeepers, eating snow cones, and more.
Caleb "Fishing"
We won't be trying this again for a while. He really wasn't interested enough for Granny to have worked so hard getting the fishing gear out and the lines ready.

The Beekeepers
Apparently my extended family members need a blog of their own. Unfortunately, they all live in East Texas where the internet options are limited to dial up and the speed is slower than slow. So, I shall blog this one for them!
While visiting my grandparents this weekend, my Uncle Doug began inspecting a swarm of bees located in a tree beside my grandparents' house. It wasn't too large of a swarm, but apparently it was enough for them. You see, Uncle Doug and his son Jake have taken up the hobby of Beekeeping. They have 2 hives on their property already and drove away Sunday afternoon with a new box full of swarming bees. According to them, when the bees are swarming, they are full and ready to produce honey (which, in my opinion, is the only conceivable reason to purposefully keep bees anywhere near where you live).
Here was the process they used for removing the bees from the tree and collecting them in their bee box (I am no expert, therefore I don't know the proper name for it).
1. Locate and Assess the Swarm of Bees
2. Prepare the Bee Box with Duct Tape
(I'm sure this is the way the pros do it)
3. Set Up Your Ladder in the Back of Your Pickup Truck
4. Back Up Until You Think You Can Reach the Bees
5. Put On Your Protective Gear
6. Spray the Bees with a 50/50 Concoction of Water and Sugar
7. Sweep the Bees Into Your Sophisticated Bee Box
They actually did a great job of getting rid of the bees for Granny and Paw Paw. And I look forward to hearing about whether or not these bees produce any honey for them.

Outdoorsy-Updated
We spent some time outdoors this weekend!
Camping (Sort-of)
We waited...and waited...and waited, then finally set up the tent in the backyard for our own little camp out. Really, we just played a game with Caleb, read a book, ate a couple of graham crackers with melted chocolate, and konked out. We were in the path of stormy weather and didn't get the tent up until almost 9:00pm, so there wasn't really much time to do much else.
I lasted on the air mattress until about 3:00am, then spent the rest of the morning on the couch. I had already gotten up, unzipped the tent, and waddled in the house to use the restroom twice. At 6:45am, I went outside and peeked in the tent to find my two boys sound asleep bundled up under a sleeping bag. I thought about getting a picture, but the thought of more sleep was more appealing at the time.
Lake Day
We spent part of the day at Lake Whitney swimming, boating, and fishing with the ladies (and their husbands) from BSF. Caleb got to see his Bible Study buddies, Weston and Bowen.

Next Project
This will be our next craft...I love it! It's the prefect combination of fun for Caleb, decoration for the 4th of July, and a keepsake of his tiny hands and feet!

Belly Photo-28 Weeks
This photo is actually from 2 weeks ago, but I forgot to post it. It's fun to compare my baby belly to Lisa's twin baby belly! We are the same as far as progress goes, but she's got two hiding in her belly.

30 Week Appointment
Things are moving along well. No high blood pressure yet...hopefully not at all! With Caleb it began to rise starting at week 30. At today's 30 week appointment it was my normal 110/64. Excellent!
My blood glucose test came back fine.
I had to get the RhoGam injection today. It wasn't as bad I remember, but it was still painful as it had been in the refrigerator. I made it through with no tears (I'm usually a big baby, even with the flu shot), but about 5 minutes later I nearly passed out. Ha! Considering I had Caleb with me and the doctor was not in the room yet, I figured I'd better hold on for dear life lest he come in to find me passed out on the floor! We made it.
10 weeks (give or take) to go!

Common Occurrence
Although I am too big to squeeze into my swimsuits and too cheap to buy one for my pregnant months, Caleb is still sporting his swimsuits from last year. We did buy him a new Thomas swimsuit for his birthday, but when we put it on, it fell right to his ankles. Apparently a decent sized waist is not one of my boy's features. This pool makes an appearance at least once a week, sometimes twice. Maybe next year we can invest in a larger pool for the whole family. But until then, Caleb has a great time with this one!
